Graduate Student Sabbatical Internship Program

The IIHG Bioinformatics Division Graduate Student Internship Program is an informal training program that aims to provide a semester of close mentorship and support to a graduate student who has a significant computational biology aspect to their projects. Our first two interns were:

Ryan Reis, M3G

Fall 2023

Project: My project is a meta-analysis of single-cell RNA and TCR sequencing (scRNA/V(D)J-seq) samples from a rare, heterogenous type of cancer called Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma (CTCL). I use a wide variety of computational techniques to better understand and describe disease pathogenesis and progression at a cellular level, while trying to gain novel insight into vulnerabilities which may be used to improve diagnosis and treatment of these patients

Chloe Beck, PhD Candidate

Spring 2022

Project: Genetic analysis of Age-Related Hearing loss in a large Sardinian cohort
